A program of physical activity during intensive chemotherapy
Sport is very important to reduce their risk of developing cancer, particularly breast cancer. But physical activity can help us once cancer is there, and that side effects of treatment very heavy, especially chemotherapy, are raging? Previous studies were rather discouraging. A Swedish study, however, wanted to test the effects of a comprehensive program of exercise, which included relaxation and other soft methods but also more intense physical activity, all performed group. The study lasted six weeks and people were recruited on a voluntary basis, they suffered a variety of cancer at various stages too. Their only common point was being treated with chemotherapy. The program of activities was set for everyone, but the most intense exercises could be canceled for some days when their health does not allow them to practice.
Less fatigue when doing the exercise during chemotherapy
Logically, strength and fitness of patients subjected to the intense physical activity were increased. But the most important result was the decrease of fatigue in the group of persons subject to intense sport. One would have thought that people undergoing chemotherapy, already exhausted by their treatment suffer an exercise program that included all the same 90 minutes of intensive sport, three times a week … yet ultimately the most athletes were less tired. They also reported more vitality,cheap darkfall gold, less pain and better physical and mental functioning. The researchers conclude that patients treated with chemotherapy should be further encouraged to maintain or increase their sport, including an intense practice, according to their physical abilities course.
